ABOUT US
Rooted in the heart of Estrie, la Menuiserie d’East Angus specializes in wood processing and the production of industrial pallets. Today, the company employs nearly forty people across various activities. With high-performance facilities and strong production capacity, Menuiserie d’East Angus serves a wide range of clients south of the St. Lawrence River, in Ontario, and the northeastern United States.
The Lapointe family
Founded in 1953, la Menuiserie d’East Angus originally specialized in manufacturing doors and windows. This is where its unique name comes from—a name that has stood the test of time. It wasn’t until the 1970s that the company began diversifying its operations by supplying pallets to the neighboring paper mill.
In 1989, the Lapointe family took over the business, marking a major turning point and shifting its focus toward raw material processing. The family’s connection to the wood industry dates back to Keven Lapointe’s great-grandfather, Alphonse, who founded a sawmill in Saint-Romain, Estrie.
With a vision to maximize the region’s resources and expand production, the Menuiserie established its own sawmill to process the abundant local timber.
Since 2005, the company has strengthened its industrial position by modernizing its facilities, allowing for custom-cut solutions tailored to the specific needs of its clients.
